City Impact Lab February 2025
February 25, 2025 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am
Repair the soul of your community and build the strength to persevere while we await the debris removal and rebuilding process of homes and businesses. Leaders will be the role-models, the cheerleaders, and the trailblazers – if communities make the difficult climb to resilience.
The long, often confusing stages of recovery will take each of us actively doing our parts – the specific pieces that we competently and empathetically do – for neighbors, family, friends, and most likely, strangers. Come join the facilitated discussion, and leave with new connections to increase your resilience and discover the actions you can take to chart your course in LA’s wildfire recovery.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS

As a Councilwoman, her priorities include revitalizing neighborhoods by championing small business growth through grant programs, enhancing public safety through community policing initiatives, preventing homelessness by expanding access to affordable housing resources, and addressing long-overdue repairs to local streets, sidewalks, and parks.

His work has focused on mobilizing resources, developing innovative housing and infrastructure solutions, and fostering collaboration among public and private entities to create sustainable recovery strategies.

His work extends beyond local efforts, drawing from experiences in over 35 countries where he has advised on poverty reduction, international relations, leadership development, and peace and reconciliation initiatives. Join your fellow L.A. leaders for an eye-opening, interactive, and inspiring morning!
City Impact Lab attendees come from all backgrounds, including government, the arts, neighborhoods, nonprofits, and business. Come connect with your future collaborators, mentors, and partners.
Each City Impact Lab begins with a lively panel of civic, business, and/or community leaders who share their personal experiences and strategies to make an impact in Los Angeles. We then have an engagement “experiment” that allows all attendees a chance to connect on the challenges they are facing in their own work.
